How to Set Up Outlook Email on a BlackBerry


BlackBerry devices have a set-up wizard that facilitates establishing an email account on your phone. You can set up Outlook email on a BlackBerry without using a BlackBerry enterprise server. Alternatively, you can set up email for your device using your computer connected to the Internet

  From the Device

o     

Select "Email Setup" from the "Home" screen if the email set-up wizard does not automatically start when you first set up your device.
o     

Select "Create" or "Add" an email address and click the "Next" button. Newer BlackBerry models include email set up configurations for Yahoo!, Gmail and AOL. If you see this menu of options, select "Other" before clicking the "Next" button.

Read through the BlackBerry End User Agreement and click the box next to "I Agree." Click the "Next" button.

Type your email address and your password, then click the "Next" button. Confirm that the email address is correctly displayed, then click "OK."

Click the "Close" button to exit the email set-up wizard.

  From Your Computer
Type "www.blackberry.com/emailsetup" in the address bar of your Web browser.
Click the "Create New Account" button or log in if you have an existing account.
Create your account by typing a user name and password, retyping the password and clicking the "Continue" button.
Type your email address and password, retype your password and click the "Next" button in the "Set Up an Existing Email Account" section.
Review the email information displayed and click "OK" to confirm and exit the set-up wizard.

how to Apple iPhone Setup with Outlook/Exchange

NOTES: This has been tested with version 2.0.1 of the iPhone 3G and version 2.0.2 of the original iPhone. To check your version, click on Settings, then General, then About. Upgrade to 2.0 or higher using your iTunes software (BACKUP YOUR iPHONE DATA. UPGRADING WILL WIPE YOUR PHONE. WE DOES NOT ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR LOSS OF DATA).

Step 1
From the home screen, select Settings. Then select Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Step 2
Select Exchange.
Step 3
Select Add Account. This step is skipped if this is the first email account on the phone.
Step 4
In the Email field, enter your full District email address (for example, username@techbuddiesonline.com).

In the Username field, the first part of your email address before the "@" symbol. Then append "@AD". For example, for the email is username@techbuddiesonline.com, enter "username@AD" (without quotes).
In the Password field, enter the same password used for your District email.
The Description field is optional.
Click Next.
Step 5
In the Server field, enter "outlook.techbuddiesonline.com" (without quotes).
Click Next.
Step 6
Choose which options you'd like synchronized.
Click Save.
The iPhone will automatically start downloading information.
